Site Updates

Dec 2025 - I have finally returned to this project to start doing some data analysis. I am currently working on a bunch of features to help clean up some of the data: ability to "swap" cassettes post ride if your settings were wrong during the ride, ability to see average gear ratio and average gear combo, plus some general UI improvements.
Jan 2024 - I woke up this morning to a completely dead SSD and another one currently failing. No data has been lost, but I've just purchased two new drives so there may be some downtime as I migrate data from the failing system drive to the new drive. The new second drive will continue to be a backup. Thankfully that is the drive that was dead!
May 2023 - After many months of working to add functionality to the site and prepare for research publications, I released a more mobile-friendly version of the website with the following new features: cassette/chainring swap as well as the new verification and flagging system. Please be patient and email me with a detailed description of any bugs you find or questions you have about the new site.
2016 - 2022 - Various bug fixes as notified by users, but no new features. During this time I nearly died and spent a week in the hospital and re-evaluated life priorities and research projects.
November 29th, 2016 - Added individual gear and chainring stats to overall dashboard.
April 20th, 2016 - Fixed timezone and distance doubling problems for the Magellan devices.
March 21st, 2016 - Added ability to exclude rides from summary statistics. This is useful if there are rides with known errors (e.g., d-fly loses connection during ride) but still useful data that you don't want to delete. Also, by default merged rides are "excluded" because the individual rides still remain on your account.
March 19th, 2016 - Finally got the timezones working for all rides on all supported Garmin devices (510, 520, 810, and 1000).
November 2015 - Added support for cropping rides.
November 2014 - Added support for the Magellan Cyclo 505. See your shifting data by uploading your .GPX file recorded with each ride on the Magellan.
November 2014 - Added detailed lap data for laps lasting less than 1800 seconds (i.e., 30 minutes). Also improved lap listing to see more easily a summary of all lap stats for the ride.
August 2014 - Updated the algorithm for importing lap data after finding a bug that wouldn't include the last shift during the lap in the timeline display of shifts. This bug didn't effect the pie chart percentages - only the timeline display of shifts.
